Why We Don't Take Insurance

We understand that the cost of therapy can be a significant consideration, and choosing not to accept insurance may seem unconventional. However, we believe this approach offers several key benefits:

  1. Confidentiality and Privacy: When insurance companies are involved, they require detailed information about your mental health, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. By not involving insurance, we maintain your privacy and confidentiality.

  2. Flexibility and Personalization: Insurance companies often dictate the length and type of therapy, which can limit the quality and effectiveness of treatment. By not accepting insurance, we have the freedom to tailor each session to your unique needs, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

  3. Direct Access to Care: Without the constraints of insurance, we can offer more immediate and direct access to our services, reducing wait times and allowing you to start your therapeutic journey when you need it most.

Out-of-Network Insurance Claims

Although we do not accept insurance directly, we are happy to support you in utilizing your out-of-network benefits. We provide superbills, which are detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. This process allows you to potentially receive partial reimbursement for the cost of therapy, depending on your insurance plan. We are happy to take care of the burden of submitting superbills to your insurance so you don’t have to.
